remember the 80's volvo wagons that had the metal bar in the rear side windows that would hold the rear shoulderbelts? i was looking thru a few old pics of european spec vanagons... i noticed in a few of the passenger models, that also had rear "jailbars" that some had these side jailbars too... they mount to the D pillar, go horizontal over the rear side glass, and then bend down and mount to the area under the rear side windows where the rear seatback is.. at the bend, there is a shoulderbelt tether.. seems these have a dual purpose..to protect the rear side glass behind the rear seat, and to mount the shoulderbelt to. i have seen these in a few different pictures.. has anyone seen them before or know of a part number? chris |
