Subject:      how does an 80 compare to an 82?

I'm looking at buying an 82 that is better shape on the interior and
potentially in the body (though I have looked at it yet) than my
existing 80.

Both vans have their problems and I have yet to see if I can fix the 82
with what's available on my 80.

Anyone ever owned both years?  how do the mechanicals compare?

both are air cooled but from Bently I've noticed some things are
different with many things staying the same.
