I've never heard of such a warning; I'd sure like to see it! According to Hankook, their RA08 185R14's are suitable for 5.0 to 6.0 wheel width, which covers both the steel wheels AND the alloys. I have used them on my own Westy (with alloys) for years. Never had any problem getting them mounted, either, nor have I had any customers report an issue with that. In fact the local VW repair specialist (who does a ton of Vanagon work and is a PA inspection station) sells them himself. - Ron Salmon The Bus Depot, Inc. www.busdepot.com (215) 234-VWVW _____________________________________________ Toll-Free for Orders by PART # : 1-866-BUS-DEPOT |
