I have done "The Vendors" brighter rear bulb update as well as the front end of my Van. Not only do I feel a lot safer durring the daylight hours, I feel confident that I can be seen at night, when the stock candlepower bulbs really make me feel unsafe at any speed. I have had the lamp update in my Vanagon for over a year with no noticeable damage to the bulb holder's, or wiring. This is another one of the smaller in size updates available for your Vanagon that is really large in value as far a safety issue goes. I'm real happy with the bright lamps from "The Vendor".: ) Ron ----- Original Message ----- From: "Tom Stone" <TStone8359@AOL.COM<mailto:TStone8359@AOL.COM>> To: <vanagon@GERRY.VANAGON.COM<mailto:vanagon@GERRY.VANAGON.COM>> Sent: Monday, September 11, 2006 7:43 PM Subject: Re: Brighter taillites > In a message dated 9/11/2006 2:14:55 PM Central Standard Time, > gbrandt@MARIONETTE.CA<mailto:gbrandt@MARIONETTE.CA> writes: > > Has anybody tried the higher wattage taillites being sold by a vendor? > I have stock wattage tail lights bulbs but put higher wattage (21w) bulbs > in > place of the turn signal/brake and backup light bulbs.
