Check for leaks in clutch hydraulic circuit. You either have air in system, and/or are losing fluid resulting in lower pressure for slave cylinder to work properly. Or your master or slave clutch cylinder is starting to fail.

Was any work done on clutch/tranny lately? Clutch hyd. may only need bleeding.

Headlights? I upgraded from stock to Halogen sealed beam. In hindsight I would have saved and rewired for H4 (I believe that's the model) system. Check archives:
