It would be well and good to replace worn bushings but by some accounts, new bushings squeak just the same. Perhaps the geometry involved puts stresses on teh bushings that naturally make it squeak?

I'd have to agree with Steven on this one! Just spraying the front-end parts and merrily driving along, ignoring the noise, can lead to an exhilirating experience - - imagine motoring along, hitting a bump in the road (in this case, a cattle guard) - - there's a couple moments of ominous silence, then your whole car begins a slow dip to the left front, and now you're on three wheels and hoping the brakes are going to operate in a controlled manner before something worse happens! D'oh! :^0
