I've used it in my '91 Westy with good results.
I don't think of it as a permenant solution to
leaky gaskets but rather a desparate attempt to
milk as many miles as I can out of this engine.

I first heard about this stuff at the 2005 High
Country Bus Festival out in North Carolina.  There
was a bus upkeep gathering.  One of the guys that
ran a garage told us about this stuff and said that
when it was added to the subaru engines, they never
leaked a drop.  Well, I added two bottles of this
stuff to my engine which is leaking out one of the
upper head bolts.  (Yes, I know this is an indication
of a crack in the head.)

So anyway, I added this stuff and it really stopped
the leaking and I drove my van across the country
and didn't lose any coolant.  However, after a recent
tuneup, I noticed coolant on the number one cylinder
plug wire and spark plug that was kind of gunking up.
I'll probably add another bottle of this stuff but
I do know the end is near.  But in the mean time
I'll just drive it.

So, as a preventative, I think this stuff would be
a good way to forstall the impending pitting of the
heads or cracking of the heads.

One thing the mechanic that introduced us to the
Subaru stuff said was that the most likely culprit
to the cracking head problem was driving the van too
fast and that it needed high octane gas.

That's all I know about the stuff.
