I suppose it would depend on your location.

For instance, I currently live near Chicago - a transplant from Washington State.

If I were back home, I would agree with you whole-heartedly. Vanagons are EVERYWHERE out there, and they're easy to check out.

It's a different story in the midwest altogether, and it is simply impossible to invest the requisite time and money to inspect vans.

So in a sense, being a vanagon lover in certain areas is a real gamble!

That being said, I am still sitting here pouring over listing after listing of vans trying to find my next, with that very same thought running through my head . . .

"What AREN'T they telling me?"

If I only I could buy the Canadian rebuild that Ben posted last night!!!!
