well good point.. but if we're going that far, it would prolly make more sense to just fabricate an entire new tank from scratch.. because there is a frame bracket that the back of the gas tank hinges too (you might have forgotten, since you own a syncro now :<) that would have to be removed to extend the tank further to the rear..

i was just thinking of something cheap and minimal that would add a few more gallons to the existing stock 2wd gas tank..without going to the trouble of adding all kinds of new brackets and supports..
