Subject: 1985 Vanagon - setting initial timing, idle speed and mixture
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-8859-1"

RE: 1.9l Gas engine.

What would be the correct "engine code" for this model - and how to I "see this for myself?"

Do I disconnect (1) 2 plugs from idle stabilizer; (2) single connector above it?

My engines "gallops" at idle, my tailpipe is rusted, my idle a little low, engine old but with new spark plugs, wires, rotor, and cap. What to do after I set my initial timing, idle speed/mixture, etc.

Thanks for advice....

Larry Georgia
