[A legitimate second chance offer will have your full REAL name in the headline (not only your ebay name) and will have a link to an ebay site setup for this transaction. In other words, it links you back to the auction, but its a specially made site that has a buy it now button at the second-chance price. check that the browser adress is motors.ebay.comnot ebay.sendmemoneytonigeria.com. Also, any second chance offer that tells you to close the deal by emailing the seller is SPOOF.]

The scammers have now improved their old methods and rendered the above criteria for judging a legit 2nd chance email obsolete.

I received a 2nd chance notice today from 'ebay' that included my real name, along with my user name, specifically saying that it was including my full name as verification that the email was authentic.

There were no strange links at all. The only links were back to ebay and the original auction.

Nevertheless, I just received word from the seller that the email was bogus.

SO BEWARE!

They are starting to look more and more authentic!

So, uh . . . anyone got an '89 or newer Westy in good shape, rust-free, no major body damage, low-miles for under $10,000?

THE SEARCH CONTINUES . . .
