sliding side windows are a weak link as far as security in a vanagon.
search the archives to find out why.  im not going to post it to the list again as
a certain individual would be upset.   Have you ever been to the jewlrey
store, and seen those locks for the sliding glass doors on the jewlrey displays?
well they make them in a smaller form for sliding auto/rv windows..  i have a
pair of them that use a crank down knob, rather than a lock, and you tighten
it from the inside.  i got them used, but as i recall they werent that hard to
come by..  RV stores might sell them.
the only way they could be defeated is to bend the metal, and doing so would
just break the glass anyways.  if someone really wants to get into your
vehicle, they'll just smash the glass.
