Subject: Whose Westy "Was" That ?
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-8859-1"

Today I drove 100 miles South of Portland, Oregon, to Eugene to help start up some computerized control systems at a Weyerhaeuser sawmill. On the way back traffic got *really* bad about 10 miles from my exit. Stop and go, I'm cursing the moron who caused such a massive backup. Almost out of gas....

Only to get up to the scene to find it totally mopped up, except for the later-years Vanagon Westy that was burnt to a cinder, sitting off the right lane. Not just burnt, but the grass along side the freeway was burnt back 50 feet or so. The pop top was still there, though not straight, but the paint was scorched all over. Fast-moving fire, I think. Was that anybody we know?
