Larry, I'm still pretty new at this too, but one thing I'm finding, most problems like that are a ground problem. There are two clusters of grounds behind the fuse panel, right on the lower left back corner. One fellow refered to them as daiseys, there are two side by side. Drop those two screws that hold the fuse panel and let the panel fall down... they are right there. My daily driver Vanagon has an on/off/on again electrical problem with my dash gauges.....

They usually work well but occasional, like now, I have no fuel gauge, water temp., etc.

I'm fixing to take a trip and I know after 20 minutes "on the road" my gauges will turn on and work well throughout the rest of the trip./.....

Any ideas.......grounds?....etc.

Larry Georgia
