Larry, carefully work them off, and use emory cloth, emory boards, anything
to clean the terminals up, as well as the female connections.  Some may be
so bad, you may need to cut the old female connectors off and crimp on new
ones.  I have run into that a couple of times.  To me those daisey ground
things were really in an odd and difficult place to get to.  It will take
some time...in fact I have to do that to mine this morning...!  Good luck,
bad grounds are waht I have found wrong much of the time on my 1985 Vanagon.
