Just back on the list so apologies if this has been covered, but...

When I did my 84 many years back I distinctly recall I did not undo the headliner or the back edge of the luggage rack. I just undid the big slotted screws and was able to lift the thing just enough to get the old seal off & the new seal on. My experience, your mileage may vary.
