i don't know as i have little experience with the air cooleds. i do have electrical trouble shooting experience and from that i say ring it out even if you have to unbundle some of the harness or take pins out of the connector to make sure you have the right wire. beyond that test for resistance. a straight length of copper wire should have very low resistance on par with the resistance of many test leads.
