The rental trailers weigh a heck of a lot, empty. You can use a lightweight trailer, I have done so with my Syncros. I bought one on sale from HF, put it together, added wood sides, good to go. Keep speeds down, use 2nd gear on major hills, take it easy. No fridges or tall items, tie everything well and double.
