> grille, mirrors, doorhandles, i used krylon semi flat black. > Same here. The power mirrors I picked up on ebay to replace my "wind flippy" manual ones were badly scuffed maroon (is that what Titian Red was?), and a can of Krylon semi-gloss black did them up nice. Worked so well I did the wiper arms, lower grill, and bumpers (mine are the black painted steel ones, with the plastic end caps that my wife likes to break by hitting stuff). Scuff/clean gently with one of those green scrubby things by 3M, wipe down with denatured alcohol, spray three light coats to cover. I have to try it on the door handles. Don't know why that didn't occur to me... -- John Bange '90 Vanagon - "Geldsauger" |
