Hi Gregor Use a Product called SEM Trim Paint (flat or gloss, Flat looks nicer) usually at good auto paint stores. It costs like 12.00 per can it is basically the exact color and finish of original equipement. works great on the slider latches and wiper arms as well. I usually sand blast the item lightly and then paint it over. Does not require primer which is nice. Make sure the part is clean and free of dirt dust grime oil water etc. I usually spray with brake clean to prep before paint. Trim paint comes in a rattle can so it is easy to use. Good luck c-ya Jonce >Instead of painting 'em, couldn't you get newer handles from salvage?
