yes, ive moved past the clogged fuel filter diagnosis - which is a shame - among its many symptoms it is backfiring after a long high rev excercise - such as 3rd gear uphill - not always - and some moments it runs like its old self. cleaned ground connecctions - ran abunch of cleaner and drier through system - last thing to to try was buying citgo gas as an act of good faith - who knows??? so far results indicate no effect one way or another - one suggestion was a clogged cat. converter - what causes this? i dont know - and is it fixable without a new part? also i dont know.
anyway there it is - baffled me

"I long ago lost a hound, a bay horse, and a turtle dove, and am still on their trail. Many are the travelers I have spoken to concerning them, describing their tracks and what calls they answered to. I have met one or two who had heard the hound, and the tramp of the horse, and even seen the dove disappear behind a cloud, and they seemed as anxious to recover them as if they had lost them themselves." - henry thoreau |
