Well, I finally got an Audiovox ccs100 cruise control. Back in spring I tried to purchase one from the US. No retail suppliers apparently ship this into Canada. So, I checked Ebay on a regular basis and bid on a unit whenever it was listed. I set a maximum of $110 USD and lost bids on a number of them, but finally got one for that price. By the way, some bids went over $150 when it is available for $124 or less from retailers. It takes a few weeks to get something like this through Canadian Customs but no problems otherwise. So, for other Canadians, this seems the only way to get this cruise control. Checking the archives, I see there is a lot of information about how to install this. I did not however find any pictures, which would be very helpful. TJ Hannink has a good write up, but the earthlink address he sites did not open for me. Edward Wiebe 1990 Westfalia |
