Before you start swapping components you will want to narrow down where the problem is - spark or fuel. When it won't start check for fire at the plugs. No fire then go through the ignition system. Lots of spark then you will have to work your way through the fuel system, from the fuel pump onwards. If the temp sensor is flooding your engine you should smell lots of gas at the exhaust. I seem to remember reading somewhere about a temporary short you can make to the temp sensor to check if it is causing problems...
