Hi.

Thanks for ideas. I believe a fault at vacuum assist/booster would give a hard pedal with greatly reduced brake effectivness. i.e. one would lose mechanical advantage. I did have hoses apart in engine bay, so will double check regardless. Booster does seem to be doing its' job though.....

Likely I'll be taking this puppy to a brake shop to get them to bleed it.

I may try a gravity bleed to see how that goes first but for sure will double check shoe adjustment and vacuum connections.
