you have to remember two things about Porsche cars ...

1. they are designed with very little compromise in the engineering. better means better, so do it. like that. if fog lights work better UNDER the bumper, then put the fog lights there. notice your 1982 model has NO drink holders. ;) i don't think porsche even considered drink holders until the Boxster came out.

2. Porsche owners are EXPECTED to perform certain maintenance procedures at a regular interval or whenever necessary. like changing the oil, rotating the tires, replacing the broken fog lights ... ;) and it is also expected that if you can afford a Porsche, you can afford the cost of such maintenance procedures ... and fog lights. :)

and i really am being serious. :)

and then there's ...

3. Vanagons ain't Porsches. as much as we'd like to think they are, they ain't. :( related, maybe. distant "tater-patch kin". but you'd never hear a Porsche owner admit it in public. ;)
