Subject: guess i need an old cat and muffler (Bay area)
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=ISO-8859-1; format=flowed

Hi,

thanks for everyone suggestions with my broken cat. it seemed to clog the exhaust as the engine was heating up very fast and seemed to have trouble accelerating. I took the cat and muffler out (in my case cat, muffler and tailpipe are welded together) and i cant see how i could clean out the cat in this configuration. plus there seems to be a bunch of loose things in the muffler, too. As i am gearing up for the subie conversion, I cannot spend lots of money on this....will only use it for a month or two. so does anyone have an old muffler /cat or even something that fits without a cat around? This is my only car, so i kinda need to get it running. would of course prefer somthing locally that i can bike, or public tranpoort to,.....

thanks a bunch flo
