Roger, The low pressure oil switch is supposed to be normally closed i.e. no pressure. That is what tests the oil light with only the ignition on. I think it opens at seven psi. Pull out the coil wire and crank the engine with the filter out to test the oil pump. Good Luck. Ken Lewis http://neksiwel.20m.com/
