Hey All,

Just a bit of personal news I wanted to share with all of my friends on the list. This past Saturday I became engaged to the most wonderful woman I've ever known. I'm an archaeologist, so I took her to an archaeological site in New Mexico that is located about 300 feet up on a cliff. It took us about an hour to hike to the place. I told her that I needed to reinvestigate a 1 X 1 meter unit that I had previously excavated in order to gather a bit more data for my dissertation. While I had her out looking around for a spike to drive into the ground, I buried the ring. When she returned, I gave her a little training, after which she began to help me excavate the unit. When the little red leather box was uncovered, she was taken aback - "look, someone has lost something!" Then she opened the box, saw the ring, and then it was something like "oh my God!, oh my God!"

She said Yes, and so right now I think I'm the happiest man alive.

Just thought I would share the experience with all of my Vanagon friends.
