Subject: Re: oil pressure problems,still

Thanks Dennis, but this is an apples-oranges comparison. I routinely change tires.Infact I had 14 flats in 40K miles.Didnt break a single stud or wheel. One flat had the head of a 7/16 inch bolt on the inside of the tire, instead of the usual pointed end!!!! Now how did that happen?? Had a gas station fix it. They couldnt figure why the object wouldnt come out. They removed the tire from the wheel, and there was the head on the inside.Explanations?I will change some more flat tires in the near future,I am sure.I still drive. Not gonna touch that switch.Dont have to,so why do it with such interesting luck? What I am going to do is buy this Ebay item 320035643961.It is a sandwitch plate that fits where the oil filter goes.A oil filter then fastens to it.No hoses or pipes. Several take off points are in the plate for oil pressure switches and such.Very interesting and useful to Vanagon owners with good pressure switches.I have heard on this list of a need for this item, many times.Nobody had knowledge of it.Check it out. Good for a gauge and oil light and even more.

Roger
