You know, you are absolutely right! That was my comment (that a guy told me this) and one comment from one person is not enough to condemn an engine. I have no idea, too, how his daughter drove the vehicle or it's maintenance history. Another guy was also talking about how bad Subaru engines are, and, well, read the Subaru/Vanagon list and you'll find quite a different opinion. Now, this guy's son has a Touareg that he just LOVES. I have another friend who just got rid of a Touareg and he says it was the worst piece of crap he's ever owned. Jeff
