I have a similar crunch zone on my van except it's on the front of the sliding door and on the piller below the fuel inlet. That'll be a fun one to fix. The dent did something really strange to the inside of the sliding door... the door works fine and isn't misshaped but the inner panel won't go on, as the middle horizontal support inside that is apparently 'glued' to the skin popped off and bowed inwards.

From the looks of it that dent isn't going to be too difficult to fix... You could buy a lot of decent body tools and beer for what they quoted you and still have plenty left over for the paint job if you were so inclined, and when it was over you'd still have the tools (but not the beer).

Cya, Robert

I broke my van. Got in a hurry leaving the gas station and one of the white posts that protect the pumps jumped out into my path. Guess how much this little scrape will cost to fix:
