Subject:      dexron II vs dexron III

are there any drawbacks to using dexron III in a vw automatic transmission
(1989 Jetta) that specified dexron II in the bentley?  if i remember
correctly a few years back when i looked for dexron II it wasn't on any of
the parts store shelves.  also does anyone know if there is a trans fluid
that is yellow.  just purchased this car and it has a yellow fluid in it.
its coming out tomorrow just curious.
