I can't remove the spark plug located below the intake air unit (plug on passenger side toward front of van). I sprayed WD 40 and let it soak but still can't get it to budge with all the force I can manage without a breaker bar on the ratchet. Any suggetions? Would warming up the engine help or just make it more likely to strip the threads? Maybe I should just leave it in but the other plugs probably had a 0.070 inch gap or more and the van wouldn't start till I replaced a couple. What is the likely failure mode if I use a breaker bar? Stripped threads (or worse)? If I strip the threads what is the remedy? Helicoil? Is there a good Vanagon mechanic in the Dayton Ohio area?
