Well, I think we've initiated another excellent Vanagon camping event. The Green Lane park was lovely, and although the weather was a bit nippy, the sky was blue and the sun shone. The potluck was great - lots of good cooks out there! And it was really nice to put faces on names I've seen on the list - Tim Demarest, Dave Milo (and the rest of his family), Kim Brennan, Joe Federici (I think?), and especially Ron! (You need his last name?) It was very amusing to see the inside of Bus Depot, too, and Ron's daughter does a real mean tour of the warehouse. Now I understand why nothing gets shipped quickly! :-) It was also great to meet some new people whom I hope I'll see again at future events. That being said - it would also have been really nice to put a face to the person who organized this event! :-O Chris, you'd better have a really good excuse for not showing up - just because we held it at a campground instead of practically in your backyard. "I had other stuff to do that day" does not qualify at a good excuse! I mean really, do you see Greg Potts not going to Buses in the Corn, or Frank Condelli not going to Bus Fusion? Puh-leeze! I think you can expect lots of grief for that non-performance. Besides, you missed a lot of nice folks! I took some photos, will get the decent ones up on the web shortly for those who are curious.
