I don't remember where I saw the post- either here recently or on thesamba.com while doing a search for "fuel pump," but someone said that they had successfully brought back a seemingly bad fuel pump by cleaning it with diesel fuel- they ran it out of the van in reverse polarity with diesel running through it, then ran it pumping the right way, and it cleaned lots of gunk out of it. Of course, you'd have to run gas through it to make sure that you didn't get any diesel in your engine. Ed Duntz
