Back on line after a couple of months.........

 

My load reduction relay for the wipers and the heater blowers died
recently.  The relay is a generic 40 amp relay (part# 171-937-503) that
I can get from Bus depot for $3.59.  They also list, as the wiper relay
for my 85 van, part #191-955-529 for $16.92, however, amperage load is
not specified.  A similar part from my local VW dealer costs $56!  Does
anybody know what the amperage load for this specific relay is suppose
to be?  I realize that my generic 40 amp relay worked for a number of
years but that does not mean that it is the correct relay for that slot.
