I have camped in Billy Bones at 0 degrees F and used a small 1500
watt heater.  With the top down, it stayed at about 50 degrees in the
center of the bus.  Near the rear hatch it was 32.

Sometimes at the Ice Climbing Festival in Ouray, CO, in January, I do
"open bivy" camping, which means I put my sleeping bag in a bivy sack
and sleep out in the snow with no tent, even though a perfectly good
Westy is parked nearby.  I know it's crazy, but so is climbing 110
foot frozen waterfalls.  But when you get a lot of people doing it,
it is mass craziness, which is fun, I think.

Speaking of winter weather, here in Colorado it's snowing.  We just
measured 5 inches on the picnic table out back.  Seems like a good
night to get in the hot tub!
