I couldn't resist and got my self a syncro today. It's a 87 Vanagon GL
syncro with 37000 on a new rebuilt engine.  Right after the inspection i
notice the following :


The VC doesn't seems to work at all. I lift the rear wheel and try to have
the VC to engage the front wheel drive but niet! nothing. I will have to
order a new one. My question is where? apart form Gowesty does any other
vendor sell those or rebuilt them if this is even possible?


Should I go with the decoupler instead. I like the VC cause in in the snow
it seems mo appropriate then a decoupler which will transform the syncro in
a real 4WD instead of a ALL WD
