The early and late vans have different approaches to the end vents. My 84 has outside air in the vents, my Mom's 91 has indoor air and Dixie, because of the Behr In-dash AC has cold air.

Having tried all three, I think I prefer the 84 and the ability to have fresh air in the cabin even in heating season.
