Well I've lived on the east coast just in or around the area that this van is being sold. Personally anyone saying they have a Rust Free anything is just plan full of it. I don't disagree rust can be controlled and kept to a minimum but no rust is ridiculous and a very telling sign of the seller. They are the type of person who tell you the interior is mint then when you show up and you point out a rip, "goes oh well it not new" and starts back paddling. I do think it's a nice looking rig but I think before the bidding is done the van will go for what it's worth, not a steel.

Spotted this Westy Syncro on ebay with what sounds to me like a very rare and desirable option:

"1990 Vanagan GL, Wesfalia Synco; 150K original ... curse control"

Was this fitted as a factory option, or was it something the dealers put on? All I know is that MY Vanagon definitely does NOT have "curse control"...
