Hi Nathan,

My dad has imported a bunch of vehicles into Canada in the last several years.

It is perfectly acceptable to file this paperwork by fax. Simply have

the original owner fax the documents to the designated border crossing. As long as the paperwork gets there 72 hours in advance of the vehicle everything will be fine. Be sure to phone and determine if it was clearly received, if even a tiny portion is garbled in transmission they will throw it away and will not tell you about it. (Happened with the 85 westy bought in spring 2005) A fax and a follow-

up phone call can make the process a lot easier.

FEDEX or UPS can also deliver the paperwork, you don't have to go there in person.

The last vehicle we picked up was an 83.5 westy in Buffalo; it came back across the border on a single-day trip.

Happy Trails,
