Subject:      My Ignition switch replacement experience

It was a pleasant job. It took about 45 minutes (not counting a trip to the FLAPS to get a 24mm socket).

1) Remove shaft "cowling" 2) Remove horn plastic assembly (just pulls off) 3) Remove 24mm bolt 4) Pull steering wheel off (no puller required) 5) Remove 3 screws around the stem assembly 6) Remove stem (wiper, turn signal switches) assembly 7) With pliers, remove the plastic collar around shaft 8) Remove all 3 (or is it 4) wire connectors 9) Remove hex nut holding switch/lock assembly 10) Remove switch/lock assembly (with key "on") 11) Remove switch assembly (there is a screw inside holding it to the lock) 12) Install new switch assembly

And, as Bentley says: Reverse for installation.

Geez, I had always thought pulling the steering wheel was a pain. It is not.

Might I also add GoWesty is a fast shipper, and great. Van-cafe is also appreciated for their fast service and cookies. ;) I also occasionally purchase parts from CIP1 and autohausaz, which are also good. At this time, I won't mention the vendor that I have had repeated problems with.
