Anyone driving a vanagon should have AAA coverage.  We usually more than get
more than our money's worth.  So I say if you don't have it, buy it and have
the van towed to another shop.  But is sounds fishy.  Any reputable shop
wants to move cars out as quickly as possible to make room for the next job.
