If you do decide to carry this stuff around, I'd suggest you go ahead and put your new ones on there in your driveway. It's a lot easier than doing it on the side of State Hwy 8 somewhere south of Bugtussle. Then you know as well as you can know what you're dealing with and you've presumably pushed your failure point out several thousands of miles. Carry the 'good' old ones for the spares. It occurs to me that there might be a 'best' way to carry a spare water pump so that it doesn't dry out internally and fail sitting there under the rear bench- anybody know for sure?

Cya, Robert
