I have to offer sincere thanks to Greg Potts for his scary Halloween pic -re sunken valve seat. I got my rebuilt case back from the bug shop and was in the process of putting the engine back together, and just before I put on the head I glanced at the valves and damned if the intake valve wasn't receded into the head. Not as bad as his, and it wasn't that easy to spot, but his picture was still in my mind. The heads had been rebuilt this last summer according to this receipt I have, so I didn't really check them out. I'm so glad I spotted that valve. Will drop both heads off at the bug shop and have the boys go over them. After all this work and money spent it would have been very, very disappointing to have put that head on like that. Lists like these are invaluable.
