This is what I was thinking. The safety switch is not in the circuit at all at the moment.

I've disconnected ( jumped ) them and the Van's run-- > > It's a dead issue. > > The trans has nothing on it. >

OK.

Put a test light on the coil when you drop it in gear--see what happens. >

I'll check that out tomorrow.
