Patricia,

My Son, who is now age eight, has been riding in my '84 Vanagon (7-passenger) since he was only a few days old. He always has been in the appropriate carrier or car seat. Right now, he rides in a car seat designed for older children and which uses the Vanagon rear seat shoulder belts. I am ultraconservative when it comes to my Son's safety, and I am fully comfortable having him in the van with me.
