I believe that part number is for the sliding door version. You can tell the rear or sliding door motors apart from the front ones easily. Do they have three wires (rear and sliding) on them or four (fronts only)? Volks, My front door lock actuator (passenger) has broken on my 87 Vanagon Syncro GL. The part no. on it says : 255 959 781 Two list members has offered me as a replacement this one 255 959 783A The Bentley doesn't give much information about this. Can someone check this for me in the ETKA and tell me if the above replacement part no. will fit. TIA
