Subject: Intermittent won't start problem w/ 84-1.9
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=US-ASCII; delsp=yes; format=flowed

I have been having an intermittent starting, rough running problem w/ my stock 1.9 w/ vanagon syndrome patch, & 102k on it. Has run great since this week, then noticed a slight loss of power like I was out of gas, then it would be fine. Finally wife drove it, & it wouldn't start for awhile, then did, then finally not at all of course until I AAA'd it to my faithful 30 year vw mechanic where it started right up!

Mechanic checked for fuel pressure-good, loose connections, coil, good, plug wires-new vw 2-3 years ago, changed fuel filter, plugs, rotor cap, (84-1 year only), & drove it round town for 2 days where it ran great until it finally did it again.

Any clues we are not seeing?

Regards,

Tom B.-things seem to fix themselves for awhile, then quit-WTF?
