If you've read my epic email "Battery in Engine Compartment ... NOT" soon to be made into a major motion picture directed by anti-semantic jews related to BORAT, I forgot to mention that on the kickpanel of the rear seat there could be a recessed toggle with a cover, that would disconnect the main battery... so that you engine would be unstartable... hence if the IRS tries to take your vanagon, it won't start if you can manage to flip the switch while pretending to remove the breadcrumbs that will make up your last meal. My only concern is what happens if you accidentally flip this switch while the engine is running.. anything catastrophic?...
